Teens arrested for fight mistaken for 'shot fired call' at Nashville mall

A chair that fell over during a fight caused chaos inside a Nashville Mall.

Multiple teens were arrested after a fight led to a false shots fired call and an evacuation at Opry Mills Wednesday night.

Mall-goers recorded video of police officers entering the mall with their weapons.

Other footage posted on social media showed people running out of the mall into the parking lot.

A fight between teens at the Haagen-Dazs store caused metal chairs to hit a tile floor, leading shoppers to mistake the noise for gunfire, stated Metro Police.

Metro Police reported the mall was cleared of patrons and police did not find any evidence of gunfire.

A total of three teens - two 16 year olds and a 14 year old - were arrested for disorderly conduct.

All three were transported to the juvenile detention center.

The mall reopened.
