Nampa man charged with aggravated assault and firearm misuse in late-night shooting incident

A Nampa man is charged with possession of a stolen gun, discharging a firearm into a vehicle, and aggravated assault.

On October 16th at 2:17 a.m., the Nampa Police Department received a call from an adult reporting that a man had walked up to his vehicle and shot at his car while parked.

The bullet did not strike the adult in the car, but it did hit directly behind where he was sitting.

After calling 911, the victim reported the home of which the suspect walked into.

The Canyon County Sheriff’s Office and Nampa Police Department worked together to investigate this case after noting the suspect’s home was just outside of the city limits.

Stephan Emerson Leslie has been taken into custody without further incident.
