Multi-department response quickly contains 12-acre brush fire in Eagle

Eagle Fire Department reports responding to a brush fire that broke out at approximately 1:42 a.m. Thursday morning north of Willow Creek Rd.

The fire quickly grew to roughly 12 acres in size, but thanks to a multi-department response including Boise Fire, Meridian Fire, Star Fire, and BLM crews were able to contain the blaze quickly. Containment was reached by 3:00 a.m. thanks in large part to the quick response and aid from 4 brush trucks, 1 dozer, and a water tender.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to Eagle Fire.
